Held in Our Hearts is one of four charities being supported by the Highlands and Islands Press Ball and Media Awards in 2026.

The charity provides vital care to bereaved families after the loss of a baby, infant or child.

It is currently aiming to raise £20,000 in its Big Give Christmas Challenge where all donations are doubled.

As part of the appeal launch, a new mini film has been issued, sharing the story of Natasha, Callum and their daughter Maeve.

The £20,000 will help –

• fund a dedicated salaried hospital-to-home worker, peer supporter or counsellor for an entire year.
• provide 400 compassionate care sessions for grieving families.
• support bereaved families across Scotland by providing them with life-saving early intervention care and long-term support after losing a baby.
