The Northern Scot is proud to donate its £500 prize money, awarded for winning Newspaper of the Year at the Highlands and Islands Press Ball & Media Awards, to a local charity that champions mental health through football.
Moray Mental Health FC, based in Forres, uses the power of football to connect people and promote positive mental wellbeing. Founded by friends who lost a pal to suicide, the club offers a supportive and inclusive space where mental health can be openly discussed.
Jonny Clark, at the Northern Scot, said: “We are honoured to support the club in its vital work and help it continue making a meaningful difference across Moray”.
